Surah al-Kahfi & Kelebihannya
Terdapat beberapa kelebihan khusus yang telah disebut oleh Rasulullah sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam bagi sesiapa yang membaca surah al-Kahfi. Antara kelebihannya ialah pengampunan dosa di antara Jumaat dengan Jumaat jika dibaca pada hari Jumaat dan dijauhi fitnah al-Masih ad-Dajjal jika menghafal 10 ayat terawalnya.
1. Abu Sa`id al-Khudri radhiAllahu `anhu beliau berkata bahawa Rasulullah sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam bersabda:
“Barangsiapa membaca surat al-Kahfi pada hari Jumaat, maka ALLAH terangi ia dengan cahaya di antara dua Jumaat.”(HR al-Hakim dan Baihaqi, disahihkan oleh al-Albani)
2. Daripada Ali yang meriwayatkan daripada Rasulullah sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam, Baginda bersabda yang maksudnya:
“Barangsiapa membaca surah al-Kahfi pada hari Jumaat, nescaya dirinya terpelihara hingga lapan hari, daripada segala fitnah yang melanda, dan jika keluar Dajjal sekalipun, dia akan terpelihara daripadanya.”(Al-Dhurr al-Manthur oleh al-Suyuti 5:355)
3. Daripada Abu al-Darda’ bahawa Nabi sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam telah bersabda yang maksudnya:
“Barangsiapa yang menghafaz sepuluh ayat daripada awal surah al-Kahfi, pasti terlindung daripada dajjal.”(HR Muslim 809)

Surah al-Kahfi
Surah al-Kahfi mempunyai 110 ayat. Ia merupakan surah Makkiyah. Di dalamnya terdapat mesej-mesej aqidah yang didatangkan sebahagiannya dalam bentuk cerita. Antara cerita atau penjelasan kisah yang dibawa di dalam surah ini ialah tentang kisah beberapa pemuda Ashabul Kahfi yang mempertahankan aqidah mereka tatkala diburu oleh pemerintah yang zalim, kisah si kafir yang memiliki dua kebun dan sahabatnya seorang yang beriman kepada ALLAH, kisah Nabi Musa dan Khidir, dan kisah Dzulqarnain membantu kaum yang berhadapan dengan masalah yang ditimbulkan oleh Yakjuj dan Makjuj.
Surah ini juga mengajar ummat Islam agar apabila berjanji, hendaklah mengatakan “in sha’ ALLAH”. Ia suatu kalimah yang sangat penting. Antara asbab turunnya beberapa ayat di dalam surah al-Kahfi ialah kerana Nabi sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam ditanya oleh orang-orang musyrik tentang 3 perkara iaitu kisah Ashabul Kahfi, kisah Dzulqarnain dan tentang ruh. Namun, wahyu tidak turun kerana Nabi sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam tidak menyebut “in sha’ ALLAH” tatkala berjanji untuk menjawab tiga persoalan tersebut. Selepas beberapa ketika dan agak lama menunggu wahyu, akhirnya turunlah ayat yang menyuruh Nabi sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam menyebut “in sha’ ALLAH” tatkala berjanji, diturunkan sekali jawapan-jawapan dari ALLAH tentang 3 persoalan tersebut.

Surah al-Kahf & The Benefits

There are some special advantages that have been mentioned by Rasulullah sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam for those who read surah al-Kahfi. Among the advantages is the remission of sins between Friday and Friday if read on Friday and shunned the al-Masih al-Syafiq's defamation if it memorized the ten verses.
1. Abu Sa`id al-Khudri radhiAllahu `anhu he said that the Messenger of Allah sallAllahu` alaihi wasallam said:
"Whoever reads al-Kahfi's letter on Friday, then GOD has lit it with light between two Fridays."
(HR al-Hakim and Baihaqi, confirmed by al-Albani)
2. Of Ali narrated from Rasulullah sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam, He said that means:
"Whoever recites surah al-Kahf on Friday, he will be safeguarded for eight days, from all slanders, and if out of the Dajjal, he will be protected from it."
(Al-Dhurr al-Manthur by al-Suyuti 5: 355)
3. From Abu al-Darda 'that the Prophet sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam has said which means:
"Whoever remembers ten verses from the beginning of surah al-Kahfi, must be protected from the dajjal."

Surah al-Kahfi
Surah al-Kahfi has 110 verses. It is the sura of Makkiyah. In it there are message of aqidah that comes in part in the form of story. Among the stories or narrations described in this chapter are the stories of some Ashabul Kahfi youth who defend their faith when hunted by the ruthless government, the story of the unbeliever who has two gardens and his friend a believer in GOD, the story of Moses and Khidir, and the story of Dzulqarnain helps the people who deal with the problems posed by Yakjuj and Makjuj.
This sermon also teaches the ummah Muslims that when they promise, they should say "in sha 'ALLAH". It's a very important word. Among the many drops of the verses in the surah al-Kahfi is that the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam was asked by idolaters about the three matters namely Ashabul Kahfi's story, Dzulqarnain's story and about the spirit. However, the revelation did not come down because the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam did not mention "in sha' ALLAH" when promised to answer these three questions. After a while and for a while, waiting for the revelation, it came down to the verse that the Prophet sallAllahu `alaihi wasallam mentioned" in sha 'ALLAH "when he promised, revealed the answers of ALLAH to these 3 questions.
